Sci-Fi Level

I am building out a sci-fi environment as a means to practice modular design and continue learning the ins and outs of the Unreal Engine 4. I will be building this out in stages.

Stage 1 Objectives:
1. Build out modular pieces
2. Block out and apply tiling textures to modules for use as material index inside UE4
3. Export modules as .fbx files and bring into UE4

Stage 2 Objectives:
1. Make test level to ensure correct snapping and that module transitions are working
2. Generate collision based off imported meshes
3. Run through test scene with character to ensure camera placement and module dimensions

Stage 3 Objectives:
1. Make concept images based off level screen grabs
2. Create high poly geo for walls, floors and roof to bake from
3. Create tiling textures for walls, floors and roof.
4. First lighting pass

Stage 4 Objectives:
1. From early concepts, identify and flesh out addition prop concepts
2. Generate high poly geo for props to bake from
3. Generate low poly geo for props
4. Finalize props and create textures
5. Second lighting pass

Stage 5 Objectives:
1. Solicit feedback from talented individuals
2. Filter feedback and make adjustments

Building out modular pieces and getting a sense for shapes and space. This is an idea for a room and a exercise for thinking about closed and open forms, corridors, corners and transitions.
